Hello again!

What a week it’s been. I love Halloween! It’s probably my favorite holiday after Christmas of course. Last week there were plenty of halloween festivities going on. It was quite the week. We decorated our floor for the hall competition but we lost. It’s okay though because there was some pretty tough competition. Wednesday night the softball team went bowling in our halloween costumes. It was a lot of fun and interesting to see what everyone came up with for their costumes. There was quite a variety. After bowling some friends and I carved pumpkins. They looked pretty legit. It was really sad though because they got stolen from outside our doors and smashed a couple nights later. Thursday night the faculty’s children went trick or treating dorm to dorm so my roommate and I handed out candy. The kids were so cute in their outfits. President Roe even came by with his wife. They were the Tin Man and Glinda from the Wizard of Oz. After the trick or treaters came by, a few of us drove out to plesant hill and went to go see Paranormal Activity. It was such a scary movie. Its really creepy but also pretty good. It starts out kinda slow but I would definately recommend it. Friday was “Disco Steel” which is a concert put on by the Flying Pans Steel Drum Band. It was really good. Baiscally a bunch of students play a bunch of songs only on the steel drums. For this show the theme was disco music so they were dressed up in their best 70s outfits and playing some 70s hits such as YMCA, Copacabana, I Will Survive, and The Hustle. It was a lot of fun. Saturday of course there was a football game. We played Buena Vista and won 17-0 which makes us conference champs and 9-0!! That night there was a halloween dance which was also fun. Everyone showed up in their costumes and we had a great time dancing, hanging out, and trying to figure out who was who in the various costumes.

Last week was so crazy that I’m hoping this week is a little more laxed because I definately need a break. So that’s all for now.

Have a great week!

GO DUTCH! :)
