Wooden Shoes on the Ground in Holland!

After a seven-hour layover in Minneapolis and an eight-hour flight over the north Atlantic, the Central College Women’s Soccer team has set their feet down in Holland!  Despite going 24 hours with relatively little sleep, the women are in good spirits and ready to tackle the beautiful city of Amsterdam.  On the docket today is a trip to the Anne Frank House, a Redery Plas canal tour, and some time walking around the Damsquare in Damrak.

Central Dutch Women at Schipol Airport

the ladies have landed in Europe!

Highlights of today include some air sickness in the vicinity of Coach Koby on the flight over, checking in with a beautiful team beakfast at the Hotel Schipol, all three coaches getting in a fast four-mile run on only 40 minutes of sleep, and then heading out for some sightseeing.

On the docket for tomorrow (looking ahead a bit) is getting to visit the soccer mecca that is Amsterdam ArenA to watch the fabled soccer club Ajax Amsterdam take on RKC in the Dutch First Division.

Yours from abroad,
Coach Russ
